Ignite

IGNITE – sparking a revolution

IGNITE is a ministry primarily for college undergraduates and early-career young adults.

IGNITE is organized around four areas: a monthly Sunday morning gathering; social events; serving/missional opportunities; and small groups. At the end of the day, what we want for you is to have a thriving relationship with Jesus Christ, be intimately connected in community, and know that you have a role to play in advancing God’s Kingdom in central North Carolina.

THE GATHERING
The Gathering is a once-a-month meeting at newhope during the 12:00pm service on the scheduled Sunday. This is a time to make community-wide announcements, share stories from the community, eat and mingle, and share a brief devotional meant to inspire and encourage everyone.

THE SOCIAL SCENE
Ignite will offer at least one social event per month designed to encourage fellowship and community building and simply having fun. These events will be little to no cost to the students.

SERVING/MISSIONAL OPPORTUNITIES
Ignite will offer at least one or two serving opportunities per month geared toward college and early career young adults. Ideally one of these opportunities will be a recurring event (same location/time) and other opportunities may be one-time events (habitat…; operation…; etc.) – We will partner with Rayetta and Daniel Henderson to identify and coordinate these events.

LIFE GROUPS
Ignite will encourage peer-led life groups and assist in getting students connected and plugged into a group that fits their needs and schedule. We will utilize the web-based life group software to help accomplish this.
